Ideological declaration of the Association “Better World” Our worldview Although a lot of our convictions are linked to the ideas attributed to the “left wing” (for example democratic ownership, fair distribution of income) it is difficult for us to be univocally at the side of any ideology. There are a lot of liberal ideas (for example free market, competition) and ideas of the right wing (for example sharpening the punishments for the authors of the most cruel crimes) which seem right to us although we often understand these concepts differently from their founders. Instead of getting trapped in dogma’s, fundamentalism and political correctness present in different ideologies - we definitely prefer to create our own world vision.
- In our vision alter-globalization means striving after social, economic and political integration of the globe (preserving thereby respect for cultural differences but in agreement with legal unification - so abolition of the legal sanction allowing to stone to death women, tortures of prisoners, ritual crippling of children) till the creation of one fully democratic federal country. - The consequence of economic, democratic and cultural changes suggested by us will bring the end of wars, hunger, poverty, technological backwardness, lack of access to free education and health care in the whole world -The economic changes suggested by us will enable global social, scientific, energetic and ecological investments which will improve the quality and quantity of life of very inhabitant of our planet - We strive after peaceful and democratic power take over by alter-global, social movements in each country and after subsequent, accelerated economic and political integration, based on cooperation and not on fighting, of the nation states into federal, global participating democracy
Global participating democracy - Possibility to remove the representatives (like for example councillors, deputies, senators, president) before the end of their term by electorate which trust they had frustrated - Regular, obligatory referenda of which the results are binding to the government - No limitation in access to election rights (to fully active and passive election right) and to public life regardless of age (beyond threshold of 18 years), sex, education, handicap, religious conviction, etc. - No limitation in free choice, in gathering and in other civil rights, imposed from above as parity upon any social group (including parity for women, homosexuals, handicaps, retired employees, etc) - Social and civil access to the information limited exclusively by security reasons - Peaceful and voluntarily social, economic and political integration of present nation states till the foundation of one federal democratic country covering the whole globe - Possibility of military intervention of the international community (in the future federal, global country) in the local conflicts exclusively after exhaustion of diplomatic means and in cases of state of higher necessity (for example immediate mediatory intervention in case of genocide)
Democratic market economy - Preservation of free market economy based on competition with the possibility of intervention by central government exclusively in case where there are macroeconomic and monopolistic dangers - Obtainment of shares by workers (nominal and indisposed on the market) in profits and management of companies, preserving thereby partial shares of the hitherto owners and compensations for shares returned to the workers dependent on the condition of global economy - 10% central government share in the companies of which profits enable investments in science, education, housing and preservation of general minimum income guaranteed by the central government aiming at complete abolition of ‘grey area’ (by hindering dishonest businessmen to function on the market and to contact legal companies. Labour control and participation of central government and international legal unification will decrease the possibilities of fraud and corruption and the political integration will make it impossible to escape to tax paradises) and striving after spending the income on scientific, social and medical infrastructure - Preserving public ownership (of central as well as of self government) exclusively in sectors of public use like: public transport, education, health care, energy, water-supply service enabling activity of private companies with minority share in these sectors - Preserving the right of inheritance of personal ownership and introduction of very high taxes from inheritance of means of production (shares in factories, corporations, etc) - Change of patent law in order to enable the government to repurchase the patents necessary for important social goals (medicines for the most dangerous illnesses, etc) - Taxation of speculative capital flow in the transition period (the so called Tobin Tax)
Minimum Guaranteed Income (MGI) - General, unconditional, minimum income guaranteed to everyone securing housing, food and the first necessities (like cloths, cleaning products, school utensils) , completely free education and health care (including free medicines and contraceptives) distributed in nominal tickets indisposed for the benefit of others or by means of nominal paying cards which hinder for example buying of alcohol and cigarettes - The amount of MGI will depend on the international economy and the social possibilities of central government. It will motivate to study, to improve professional qualifications, to get job including effort involved or to found new companies
Freedom - civil freedom without limiting the right of free speech and artistic expression under no pretext and appearance including right to “offend” and “ridicule” any view, religious conviction and group (also covering the so called ‘enemies of freedom‘), complete freedom of gathering and union - Freedom to dispose about one’s own body - cultural and educational fight against drugs and other toxic means (cigarettes and alcohol), but their legalisation, fight against economic and social causes of prostitution and against forcing to prostitution, but its legalization, fight against economic, social and cultural causes of suicide and medical progress, but legalization of euthanasia for people able to act in legal matters
Scientific Progress - An amount of money nowadays spent on army and weapons on the global scale should be spend on investments in scientific infrastructure, grants and scientific programs and elaboration of new technologies and inventions - Stress on investments in medical science, energy, robotics, genetics, nanotechnology, informatics, biotechnology, transport - in order to improve life standard, its quantity and quality, on development of civilization on the global scale, on preserving transparency and access to civil institutions which should look after the possible dangers of research processes for humanity and natural environment
Civil society -Social and civil control of any sphere of public life (except private life of adults) - for example information at the councils, obeying laws, government activity, public expenses, economy (through legal stockholding), scientific research (especially genetics, energetic and robotics)
Energetic - Striving after increased use of alternative sources of energy (like water and windmill, solar energy, bio fuel, biogas), securing energetic safety on the planet using atom energy, increasing investments in creation of clean and safe solutions in this respect and civil guarding of functioning and construction of power stations (global political integration will enable to locate them in uninhabited areas, for example deserts, from where it will supply whole regions) - Activities linked to safe energy, educational programs and change of cultural patterns of useless consumption
- Strict demarcation and protection of sanctuaries ensuring ecological security on the global scale - Abolition of hunting by ensuring MGI to everyone, educational projects, repressive penal policy in this matter and sending a part of uniformed forces of each country to protect the sanctuaries - Preserving and developing of rules and regulations concerning protection of environment, investments in creation of new technological solutions enabling development of industries not harmful to the environment , developing global standards concerning recycling and waste management - Stress on ecological education, introduction of educational programs concerning waste segregation and consumption patterns
- Stress on critical thinking and civil knowledge at primary and secondary schools - thus on subjects linked to the knowledge of society, philosophy, sociology, psychology, science of religions, in order to enable people to make responsible and conscious choices in social and political realm - Stress on educational programs for workers-shareholders concerning economy, management and civil knowledge before giving them shares in management of company - Along with introduction of free global education equalling cultural and historical differences in educational programs till obtaining integrated program on the world scale excluding for example regional history or history of the particular nation - Introduction of sexual education without cultural accretion including use of contraceptives (free distribution) accompanied by education about setting up family and parenthood
Ethos of labour, unemployment - Facing technological development and its acceleration enabling to decrease amount of working people - radical redefinition of the cultural ethos of labour, ensuring MGI to everyone, development of individual without necessity to work in the present meaning of this term - via culture, science, sport and art - Central government shouldn’t pay for empty jobs in companies and administration, it shouldn’t intervene in cases of bankruptcy of non-rentable and non-competitive companies except ensuring to the unemployed the MGI and possibility of individual development outside work (investments in education, science, social care, sport infrastructure, leisure, tourism, art.)
Labour law - Along with introduction of labour stockholding sharpening of punishments for companies which despite of all are breaking labour laws, except democratically self-restricted rights by particular working societies and employers - Abolition of rules and regulations concerning ‘discrimination’ by taking on employees - what kind of employee, of what sex, grade of ability, look and sexual orientation should depend only on the employer and not on central government - to combat the particularly discriminating behaviours (like for example taking on only males or young persons) is the task of civil society (boycott) not of police.
- Educational, social and cultural programs in order to fight discrimination, abolition of harming stereotypes and of all barriers concerning sex, age, race, religion, ability, etc without limiting democratic freedom - freedom of gathering, freedom of speech and freedom of political and economic choices without any parity - To enable homosexuals to get married without right to adopt children (adoption policy should concern only heterosexuals who should fulfil educational, cultural and social exigencies in order to make right development of child possible), increasing paternalism concerning supplementary families, family (instead of traditional) orphanages, punishments of pathologies in heterosexual families and at the same time elimination of its social and economic causes
- Limitation of social, cultural and economic causes of criminality - sharpening of punishments for authors of the particularly cruel crimes (tortures, rapes, human trade, war crimes, murders) - Instead of mass prisons investments in substituted means of electronic observation of authors of crimes of little social harm - Penology system should belong exclusively to central government, elimination of corporation prisons - Electronic observation of prisons, introduction of means hindering beatings and rapes of other prisoners
- Abolition of public holidays, as well religious ones for example Christmas as lay ones for example the 1st of May. Instead there should be a possibility given to each citizen to choose extra amount of days off which they will use according to their conscious and spiritual needs (employer should respect such a choice) - Prohibition of support of government institutions to activities of religious groups, political parties except social activity led by organizations linked to them (partly refunded campaign of parliamentary groups) including prohibition of maintaining army chaplain and of consecrating governmental buildings -Prohibition of placing the religious and ideological symbols in public buildings |
